CAREER OPPORTUNITIES
PIPE FITTER:
The most skilled of construction tradesman, a Union pipe fitter, welder, plumber, or service technician can earn top dollar at any particular job site or fabrication shop within U.A. Local Union’s jurisdiction (Virginia, North and South Carolina). These craftsmen must participate in a five year apprenticeship training program, during which they will work for a mechanical or service contractor and are paid while being trained by U.A. Locals "in-class" local instructors, or by the newly formalized computer "distance training" via the internet.
ENGINEERING AND MANAGEMENT:
Engineering and management opportunities can be found within our association's member contractors. Such positions may include project management, project engineering, business development, purchasing, service manager, pipe detailing, project controls, etc. For more detailed information on potential career opportunities, please check the website of each respective member contractor.
